MY BELIEFS
Here
you will find a basis of what I believe. If you have a question about anything

I believe
that...
- The
Bible is the holy, inspired word of God.
(II Timothy 3:16). The King
James Version is the accurate translation for the English-speaking world.
- The
Bible is the only rulebook for Baptists.
- The
Godhead consists of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
These three are distinct beings, yet are One and agree in One.
(I John 5:7).
- God
is Sovereign. (Daniel 4:35).
- God created the entire universe in six literal days (Genesis 1; Exodus 20:11).
- Man
is totally depraved. (Romans
3)
- God
elected certain men unto salvation.
This election was unconditional, and took place before the foundation
of the earth. (Ephesians 1:4-5;
Romans 9:11).
- Christ
died for His people only. No
person who Christ died for will ever end up in Hell.
(Matthew 1:21; Mark 14:24)
- Those
who were elected are the people who Christ died for and they will be saved.
They will be called with an irresistible calling.
(Galatians 1:15-17; John 6:37).
- Those
who are saved will be kept saved. (John 5:24, 10:27-29).
- God
uses the preaching of the gospel to call out His elect.
(I Corinthians 1:17-31; Romans 10:13-17).
- Jesus
Christ established His church while on the earth, before Pentacost
(Luke 6:13, I Corinthians 12:8).
- He
gave His church authority to go, make disciples, baptize them, and then teach
them. (Matthew 28:18-20).
- The
church is a local assembly of called-out believers.
It is a visible body, with Christ as her Head.
(Colossians 1:18).
- Churches
organize churches, in a chain-link succession. Notice the example found in the Bible:
Acts 11:19-26.
- Baptism,
followed by Lord’s Supper are the only two ordinances of the church.
- Baptism
is by immersion only upon a confession of faith in Jesus Christ, performed
by one who has been granted authority by one of the Lord’s churches.
(Ephesians 4:5; Matthew 3:13-17; Acts 8:36-38)
- The
Lord’s Supper is to be observed by the Lord’s church in remembrance of He
who died on Calvary’s cross for His people. Since it is a picture of the Lord’s death, and since leaven
is a picture of sin, the proper elements for His supper are unleavened bread
and fermented wine. (Matthew
26:26-30; I Corinthians 11:21-30, 5:6-8).
- The
Judgment Seat of Christ is the place where God’s people will be judged for
their service done here on this earth.
(Romans 14:10-12; 1 Corinthians 3:11-15).
- The
Great White Throne Judgment is the judgment that the lost will be judged at.
They will be judged for their sins.
(Revelation 20:11-15).
- The
next event that we as God’s people are to be looking for is the rapture, in
which Christ will return in the air to call His people home to be with Him.
(Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:14-18; I Corinthians 15:51-53).
- The
tribulation period will then take place here on the earth for seven years.
(Revelation 6-19)
- There
will be a wedding in heaven. Our
Lord will marry His bride, taken from out of His church.
(Revelation 19:7-9; II Corinthians 11:2).
- At
the end of the Great Tribulation, Jesus Christ will return to the earth to
fight the Battle of Armageddon against the nations of the earth.
He will win this battle. (Revelation
16:16; Zechariah 14:1-4).
- Jesus
Christ will rule and reign over the earth for a literal 1,000 years.
(Revelation 20).
